Every stay-at-home mom is thinking, “What activities am I going to do all summer with my kids?!” Today, most stay-at-home mamas out there are trying to savor every minute before their kids get dropped off from their last day of school and summer begins!! We are all thinking…
“What the hell am I gonna do for 2 months
Every. Single. Day?!”
Summer is here, but don't be a mean old bitch about it!!
Don’t panic! I got you covered with some fun summer activities to do with your kids!!
The way to Nice Summer Mommy? Plan it out! Get the kids involved in decision making and ask them what they want to do so they feel involved. Give them this list (better yet, print the clean pretty version of this list below for FREE!!) and then highlight what you want to do together. You can even self laminate and reuse it next year!
Do one big outing a week, the rest of the days you can spend at home or at a friends house.
It’s great to start with a theme for each day so you can have an idea of your week for planning.
You can make up your own daily theme, but for instance, it might go something like this:
Monday: “Monday Madness” Get them outside to run and free play, walk, bike, skate…just be in nature!
Tuesday: “Crafty Tuesday” Work on arts and crafts!
Wednesday: “Water Wednesday” Have water activities this day!
Thursday: “Turbo Thursday” Video games, board games, outdoor games, yard games, sports games, or legos structured play!
Friday: “Friend Friday” Do your kids constantly ask, “Can I go play at so and so's house?!!” Here's your answer! “Well, we can on Friday, hunny.” 😉 Invite their friends to get together or go with a group! This is great because the kids entertain each other and mamas get to catch up too!! Win-Win!
Just be sure to leave some downtime each day for things like reading, watching a show or movie, and good ‘ol unstructured play. That’s when kids can really show their creative sides and learn to be bored! For real, Mama, its ok if your kids are BORED! We made mud pies with puddles when we were kids!

Don't forget the printable! Just print, laminate and hang it on the fridge, you know, next to that emergency vet magnet and the picture frame from the Caribbean you still have no picture for! This way you always have it handy when Mommy brain hits!
Live in the moment and soak it up!! Soon enough the kids won't want to spend their summer with you anymore. Awww Boohoo 🙁 I know it’s sad, but so true!! You only have a few summers left before they are off and running without your lists. Just relax, sit back and have fun being a Mama this summer!
